Monday

Arrival at Casa Gallo in Monteu Roero. Welcome reception followed by a special dinner at one of the area’s best restaurants.

Tuesday

In the morning visit a hazelnut farm and a beekeeper. Taste the honey they produce along with hazelnuts, cheese and chocolates. Lunch is at a local winery and Agriturismo where you will learn about and taste Vermouth.

Evening cooking lesson with Giuliano.

Wednesday

Visit a goat herder and taste a variety of organic goat cheeses. Lunch will be at a local trattoria.

Evening cooking lesson with Giuliano.

Thursday

A full day trip to Turin, the capital of Piedmont. Giuliano will lead you on a tour of its amazing food market. Then you will visit a chocolate producer and learn how to make your own chocolates. After lunch at a traditional Piedmontese restaurant, a professional local guide will take us on a walking tour of the city.

When we return to the villa, a professional pizzaiolo will demonstrate his art and we will enjoy his pizzas for dinner.

Friday

Today we will visit the medieval town of Barbaresco and enjoy an exclusive access to Angelo Gaja’s winery, not available to the general public. The visit will culminate in a guided tasting of four of his iconic, spectacular wines.

After lunch in Barbaresco we return to the villa for an evening cooking lesson with Giuliano.

Saturday

Today we visit the town of Alba. Known as the city of 100 towers, it is the capital of the Langhe region and hosts the annual International White Truffle Fair, which we will have access to.  After lunch we will go on a truffle hunt guided by an expert tifulaio (truffle hunter) and his dog. We return to the villa for some rest and then go for our farewell dinner at one of the Langhe’s finest restaurants.
