Truffle Salt Giveaway

Our family adores Truffles.  To the delight of our palates but dismay of our bank accounts, both our children would rather have pasta con Tartuffo than almost any other food in the world.  Since truffles are often unaffordable and unseasonable we’ve been trying different methods of getting the flavor without resorting to expensive European vacations or exorbitant shipping costs.  One of those methods has been to use truffle salt.

Good Fior di sale al Tartufo isn’t cheap, it retails from around $20.00 per 100 grams.  Good Truffle Salt is sea salt infused with truffle and nothing else. The more truffle in the product, the more aroma and flavor.  Opening a jar of the salt, to me, is better than opening a jar of perfume.  The aroma of the truffle permeates and my salivatory glands immediately begin watering in anticipation.  Although the salt is expensive it is worth it.  Used in small amounts, the truffle can give subtle depth to a dish and give a rich flavor.

I LOVE cooking and baking! Especially Italian foods ! The heart of the home is your kitchen ! I would love to share this with family to cook with ! One of these days I make it Italy and hopefully get to be in one your cooking classes !

I have never tried it but would absolutely love to. I’m a little afraid of my son getting addicted to fresh pasta with butter and truffle salt though.

I adore truffle-anything! Such a great way to add flavor and aroma to so many different foods. If I had to make a choice, I think I would go with white truffle. I think the white is more aromatic and intense. And fabulously decadent on popcorn! :-D

I have never used truffle salt, but am so intrigued now! I use mostly black truffle oil, so I’m guessing I would be partial to the black truffle salt. What a great site and giveaway!

I had the priviledge of eating eggs three ways – scrambled with Black truffle, poached with black truffle salt sprinkled on the yolk and a cheese souffle infused with white truffle salt and have to say I have never tasted anything as divine before or since.

Lael, I can imagine the flavor though I have never used truffle salt before. It will be perfect finish on multiple dishes I make. What a wonderful giveaway!!! Would be wonderful and welcome addition to my small but growing collection of flavored salts!!

I love truffles, truffle oil, truffle salt, anything with that amazing aroma! I’ve only used black truffle salt and love it on popcorn, potatoes, eggs, mushrooms… I’d love to try the white.

I love truffles. The smell of truffle salt is positively decadent! Love it over eggs, or on pasta, or on mac and cheese, really endless uses. Would love to win such a treat!

Lael, I’ve never used truffle salt but I have used truffle oil on pizza which is divine!! Sooooo as you can imagine, I’m dying to try this lovely salt – which kind? I would be asking you to send me YOUR favorite!!!

I have only had truffles once…..what a nice way to infuse food with truffle flavor without the expense. Very interesting.
