A proud mother of my son

by Marcella Hazan on May 12, 2012

It was tremendously moving to see my son cooking on national television (THE TODAY SHOW VIDEO) a dish of my mother’s that has been part of my food memories forever. He did a pretty neat job of it too. That new book of his – Hazan Family Favorites – is filled with good food, no trendy stuff, simple recipes for terrifically satisfying flavors. If they had been anything less they wouldn’t have survived so many generations of home cooks.

While we don’t celebrate it in Italy, Happy Mother’s Day to all who do.
